1. Re @michaeljswalker I think it worked for me, walking outside from my house to my garden was like exiting from the Airplane to southern Spain or somewhere.
I do have good loft insulation, which works both ways, trapping heat from the sun up in the attic. Source

2. Re @soapachu Travel to Indonesia to see my sister, travel to Berlin to see my other sister and new baby (soon) take kids away to Spain or Italy or Croatia for half term. Spend a few weeks at home sorting out garden, loft conversion design, other bits. A month in France camping in the summer. Source
